Most recent work can be seen on Maxim Magazine (two covers),on newstands in 2011. Emmanuel Sanchez is a very talented barber, who comes from a family of hairdressers. He has an artistic eye and creates works of art in the form of barber design. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Emmanuel came to the United States at the age of 10, and by the age of 15 he was cutting hair. He has lived in New Jersey, Florida, and Alaska. While in Alaska he opened a barbershop and worked alongside many talented barbers. He is now settled on Kauai with his wife and two sons. Kristy Love is the owner of The LAB. She is a very skilled hair stylist and make-up artist who is originally from Kauai. She recieved her cosmetology license in 1996, and in 1998 she ventured to Hollywood to work as a hair and makeup artist in the entertaiment industry. She has worked with several celebrity clients, as well as with top photographers, directors, production companies, television studios, and recording artists. She also developed a large clientele at an exclusive Aveda salon in Laguna Beach. She trained at Vidal Sassoon Academy and attended Aveda advanced education courses. She is a licensed cosmetologist in the states of Hawaii and California. In addition to working extensively with hair, Kristy is also an accomplished make-up artist. Aside from doing make-up for the entertainment industry, she has worked as a special event makeup artist for lines such as Versace, Nars, MAC, Face Stockholm, Christian Dior, and Shu Uemura. She is also a certified airbrush makeup artist. |
